Terms and Conditions

Please do not use our website or services if you disagree with any part of these Terms and Conditions.

The following Terms and Conditions have been prepared to help you make the most of Inbalance Pilates Limited. Please take a few moments to read them thoroughly.


1 Interpretation and Variation

1.1 In the Terms and Conditions the following definitions apply:

"Inbalance Pilates" means Inbalance Pilates.

"Student" means any person that has completed and submitted the training registration form and has been accepted by Inbalance Pilates

“Tutor” means any person who is employed by Inbalance Pilates to deliver training and education.

"Terms and Conditions" means these terms and conditions.

"Website" means http://www.inbalacepilatesrutland.com/.

1.2 References in the Terms and Conditions to the singular will include the plural and vice versa and references to the masculine gender will include references to the feminine gender.

1.3 The Terms and Conditions are incorporated into the health questionnaire and registration forms

1.4 Inbalance Pilates reserves the right to vary and revoke the Terms and Conditions from time to time which variation it may consider necessary or desirable for the regulation of the affairs of the training and the conduct of Students. Any such changes will be notified to Students and, until revoked, are and will be binding for Students.

1.5 The Terms and Conditions will be governed by the laws of England and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

2 Booking and Cancellation

2.1 Receipt of deposit and signed registration form renders the student liable for payment of their full course fees subject to the limitations contained under the cancellation below

2.2 Full course fees are payable regardless of whether the student completes the course

2.3Students who are not up to date with payments will not be eligible to attend workshops, courses or examinations

2.4 If cancellation is received 2 weeks prior to workshop/course commencing then full refund, less 10% deposit (if applicable) will be made. No refunds will be given part way through any workshop/course

2.5 Cancellation of individual modules received 2 weeks prior to course commencing will incur a penalty fee of £35. Failure to attend any given dates without notifying Inbalance Pilates will also result in this charge being applied

2.6 Students have 1 year to successfully complete an individual course. Extension to this period is on an individual review basis and Inbalance Pilates is under no obligation to grant such requests

2.7 All bookings must be placed in writing using the relevant registration form(s). Places are not confirmed until forms or payment are received

3 Fitness and Health

3.1 Students are advised not to undertake strenuous physical activities without first seeking medical advice if they have concerns over their physical condition. Inbalance Pilates reserves the right to refuse access to any Student if, in its absolute discretion, it considers that the health of the individual concerned may be endangered by the use of its facilities.

3.2 Students are required to follow the instructions of the Tutor at all times.

3.3 Students are required to inform a member of staff, if they incur injuries or conditions, after the initial information stated on their health questionnaire.

4 Safety and Hygiene

4.1 In the interests of safety and hygiene, no crockery or glass are permitted in the changing rooms or Studio. No pets (with the exception of guide dogs), are permitted in the Studio. Students must not walk around the Studio barefoot if they have verrucas or similar foot complaints. Please wear socks or indoor flip-flops.

4.2 In the event of a fire, Students are asked to make their way to the nearest available exit.

4.3 Smoking is forbidden in the Studio.

5 Personal Belongings

5.1 Personal belongings are brought onto the Studio premises at the Student’s own risk and Inbalance Pilates does not accept liability for any loss or damage whatsoever to such items.

5.2 Vehicles parked in the Studio car park are parked at the Student’s own risk and Inbalance Pilates accepts no liability for any loss or damage whatsoever to such vehicle.

6 Limitation of Liability

6.1 Places are subject to availability. Inbalance Pilates reserves the right to cancel, withdraw, change or relocate a workshop/course within a reasonable time frame. Inbalance Pilates shall not be held liable for any loss of earnings or expenses as a result of such changes.

6.2 Travel, accommodation and loss of earnings resulting from the attendance of Inbalance Pilates training are the full responsibility of the Student. Inbalance Pilates under no circumstances accept any liability for these costs.

6.3 Inbalance Pilates cannot be held responsible for cancellations caused by circumstances outside of their control. (i.e., weather, travel issues, strikes etc) Inbalance Pilates will make reasonable attempts to respond to such situations and achieve a satisfactory resolution.

6.4 It is the Student's responsibility to ensure that he is capable of undergoing a routine of exercises provided by any programme which he follows or session which he attends. Students accept the risk of injury from performing exercises and using specialist equipment and are advised to consult their doctor prior to beginning any session. Advice provided by Tutors at Inbalance Pilates at no time constitutes medical advice in substitute for advice provided by a medical professional

6.5 Inbalance Pilates accepts no liability for loss or damage to property of Students or for injury to Students on the Studio premises or outside the Studio except insofar as such loss, damage or injury is by law incapable of exclusion.

6.6 In consideration of their participation in the activities and programmes of Inbalance Pilates and the use of facilities and equipment owned and/or under the control of Inbalance Pilates the Student hereby waives and releases Inbalance Pilates and it’s Tutors from any and all responsibility or liability for injuries or damages resulting from their participation in any of the Inbalance Pilates’s activities or use of Inbalance Pilates’s equipment or facilities save in respect of death or personal injury caused by the negligent act or omission of Inbalance Pilates.

7 Online classes

Please take note of the following precautions before taking any Inbalance Pilates classes:


7.1 To reduce and avoid injury, you will want to check with you doctor before beginning the classes.  By participating in the classes you are doing so at your own risk. 

7.2 Inbalance Pilates will not be responsible or liable for any injury or harm you sustain as a result of our Pilates programme.

7.3If any point during the class you begin to feel faint, dizzy or have any physical discomfort, you should stop immediately and seek medical advice.

7.4Please use good judgment and common sense when taking the class, consider your level and ability and choose the appropriate level of the exercise and rest when you need to.
