The 5 Minute Morning Habit that Changed Everything

"I don't have time" is the thing I hear most often.
And I get it—life is overwhelming, your to-do list is impossible, and adding one more thing feels like too much.
But what if I told you that 5 minutes could completely change how your body feels all day?
Not someday.
Starting tomorrow.
Here's what that looks like.
This was me a few years ago:
Wake up stiff. Shuffle around getting ready and not feeling able to move properly until I'd had a hot shower. Spend the first 30 minutes of my day feeling like my body is 90 years old.
Sound familiar?
I knew I "should" move more. I knew Pilates would help. But finding an hour?
Impossible. Even 20 minutes felt like too much.
So I asked myself: What's the MINIMUM that would actually make a difference?
The answer: 5 minutes. Just 5.
Here's what happened when I committed to 5 minutes every morning:
Week 1: I woke up less stiff. Not pain-free, but noticeably better.
Week 2: I had more energy throughout the day. My body felt more awake, more alive.
Week 3: My back pain decreased significantly. Not gone, but manageable. Controllable.
Week 4: I started craving the movement. It wasn't a chore anymore—it was the best
part of my morning.
What those 5 minutes actually look like:
Not a full workout. Not even close. Just intentional movement:
Spinal mobility (cat-cow, pelvic tilts, pelvic curl, spine twist supine)
Core connection (small, controlled movements - breathwork, single leg lifts, leg slides)
Hip opening (because we all sit too much - clams, glute stretches)
Shoulder release (because we all carry tension there - shoulder rolls, dumb waiter)
That's it. 5 minutes. While the kettle boils. Before the kids have breakfast. Before you check your phone.
Choose just one, put it in your calendar, set an alert on your phone and reward yourself afterwards. Celebrate all those small wins.
And let me know how you feel!
Which one will you choose?
